Hello, my name is Karen. I'm 48 years old and come from the south of France, near Montpellier, and I'm very attached to my region and its culture. I have a master's degree in French as a foreign language and also a diploma in Spanish language and civilization. Why did I choose this specialty? Because the French language and culture are very rich and give me the privilege of meeting students from all over the world with very different profiles.

I've been teaching French as a foreign language for 23 years. My profession has become my passion! What a pleasure to introduce interested students to the French language and culture! I also speak Spanish, English and a little Portuguese. In my free time, I like to go for walks in the countryside or to the beach, I swim, I go to the cinema and I spend a lot of time with my family and friends.

As a lover of modern languages since a very young age, I enjoy immersing myself in a foreign culture, discovering a different way of thinking, having fun imitating a new melody...

And what about you, does French charm and surprise you? Does it annoy or resist you? :)

Everyone has their own reasons for learning a language, their own interests and their own learning style... That's why I adapt as much as possible to your needs! For those who wish to travel or live in France, conversation is an important part of the process: my aim is to help you gain confidence and become more at ease! As study and discussion aids, I can suggest videos, songs, articles... You'll be encouraged to be active in your learning, to make suggestions and to ask me lots of questions!

Finally, to help you progress, you'll always keep a written record of each explanation or correction, so you can continually improve your vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and knowledge of idiomatic expressions ....

I've been teaching French as a foreign language for twenty years, in China, in Montpellier and now in the Cévennes (South of France).

During my various teaching posts, I have given French courses for all levels, from A1 (absolute beginner) to C2 (experienced user). These included courses in general French, French for specific purposes (e.g. business French, French for international relations, etc.) and exam preparation (DELF/DALF/TEF/TCF).

As a result of these different experiences, and driven by the desire to practice my profession more independently, I've decided to offer my own online training courses. My ambition during our courses will be to help you appreciate the best aspects of French culture, and I hope you'll help me discover the best sides of your culture too! My courses are structured around these enriching cross-cultural exchanges, and we'll cover a wide range of subjects in our discussions, from history and politics to art, gastronomy and current affairs.

We'll be using documents I've created myself and authentic material from the French media as our main teaching aids.

Whether you're learning French for professional reasons, for your studies, to travel to a French-speaking country or just for pleasure, our French courses will be tailored to your profile and your project.
